Lecture Description:
David Hares II has been exploring our great country’s National parks for the
past 12 years. So far David’s adventures have taken him over 120,000 miles and
through all 50 states in an attempt to capture the beauty and uniqueness of our
country’s treasures. This lecture is an interactive exploration of our National
Parks and many of the places in between. These photographs are meant to trigger
memories of times you may have spent in these wonderful places, to inspire you
to see them again or experience them for the first time. We will discuss the
uniqueness of different parks, photography techniques, and various stories that
occurred in order to get these photographs. In addition, we will briefly
discuss photographic tips and tricks to capture better photographs.
Biography:
After 27 years in corporate America and with two kids off to college, David
prepared for a life-long dream outside of the corporate world... to explore and

photographs, he refined his photography skills by studying with some lifelong
professional photographers before heading out on his journey. David’s
photographs were on exhibit at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in
early 2016.
David's book "Exploring America: A Photographic
Journey" will be available to purchase and signing after the
