42nd Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes
Parker County Heritage Society Presents a Beloved Tradition
Each December, the Parker County Heritage Society invites residents and visitors to step into the warmth and wonder of the holiday season with its cherished Candlelight Tour of Homes. Now in its 42nd year, this beloved event returns on December 13, 2025, promising a magical day filled with history, beauty, and community spirit.
This year there will be five historic homes dating back to 1894, Mt. Pleasant School which was the historic, former African American School, All Saint's Church, Chador Gardens, and the Doss Heritage Center (frontier cabins).
Historic homes offer a tangible link to earlier eras. Visitors can imagine what life was like in different centuries and experience history in a personal, hands-on way rather than just reading about it in books. Historic homes have a special charm—antique furnishings, original woodwork, and period decor create a unique atmosphere that transports visitors back in time.
Please join us for this amazing event on December 13, 2025. Ticket can be purchased online starting on November 24th, at the Doss Center and the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce. The event is come and go starting at 9:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $20.00 adults and $12.00 for children (9 and under).
